NOURISH & PROTECT.
Because the level of your body's immune enhancing antixoidants depletes with age, it is important to replenish antioxidants and minerals. Even though you may take oral supplements, less than 1% of what you ingest ever makes its way to the skin. This is why it is important to apply antioxidants and vitamins topically to allow the skin to receive nourishment. Without enhancing the protective capability of the surface layers of the skin, damage to the skin increases. When applied topically, combination antioxidants can have up to a four-fold protection barrier and prevent the formation of thymine dimmers from sun and harsh environmental elements.
- In the morning, utilize 20-25% concentration of Vitamin C to enhance collagen production, promoting smoother, skin with fewer fine lines and wrinkle. Also provides enhanced protection from sun damage when used under sunscreen. Studies suggest that lower concentration of C are not as effective.
- Daily use, a topical antioxidant/vitamin compound of Vitamin K, Arnica, Green Tea Extract, Ginseng Root, Olive Oil to increase circulation around the eyes and minimize dark circles.
- Daily use, an antioxidant compound of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Provitamin B5 and fatty acids to Reinforce fragile skin of eye and neck.
- Incorporate products into your daily routine which include Vitamin D3 and Vitamin E to fight free radical damage as well as hydrate the skin.
Although sunlight is essential for human life, daily exposure to the sun is a major cause of skin damage, including wrinkling and skin cancer. Sunscreens work by scattering, absorbing or reflecting the sun's ultraviolet rays. There are two kinds of rays from which you need protection: UVA (aging) and UVB (burning). SPF measures the amount of protection from burning or UVB. It does not measure protection from the aging or UVA rays which are 100 times greater in quantity. So regardless of how high your SPF may be, you are still unprotected from UVA. It is important to look for full spectrum sunscreens which protect from both. The FDA recently recommended implementation of a 4 star rating system which determines the amount of UVA protection a sunscreen has, with 4 being the highest level of protection.
- Regularly apply full-spectrum protection for face, body and lips at an SPF 15 or higher incorporating UVA protection from ingredients such as avobenzone, oxybenzone, or any of the "zone" family.
- Use a vitamin C & E enhanced lip balm to moisturize, stimulate collagen production and protect the lips.
- Daily use, an antioxidant compound of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Provitamin B5 and fatty acids to reinforce fragile skin of eye and neck.
